It’s true. Since 2015 every activity that has been carried out at Terra de Luz (TDL), and Wisdom of the Way, has been on a donation basis only… and all are absolutely free to contribute if and how they wish.
Some contribute with their hands, some with materials they have, some with their services and some with money from their pocket.
All is gratefully welcome and is what makes this project thrive! For us, this type of exchange feels right and we fully trust in what we are serving and offering. People are able to give in a way that feels good, in a way they feel able and if/where they feel value.
‘Take, enjoy what you need, leave what you are able’
A major focus of our project at TDL is to serve all that need, especially those without money which is a daily occurrence.
Open heartedly, we share food and shelter, our home and long embraces with those in need, so that they may be able to take, enjoy, rest and not worry about lacking anything today… and that they may live these moments and this journey with dignity and respect.
Trust is the practice for us in this department; it’s the challenge and the reward. And truth is, we never know what the day will bring, also economically. Some days it comes, and some days it’s coming tomorrow!
Regardless, our focus is on serving and meeting each individual where they are at…when one is thirsty, a drink; when one is lost, guidance; when one is ready, a hug; when one is hungry, a banana! Or whatever we are eating.
The intention is that we may meet and share authentically and lovingly, from the heart. After all, this journey, the camino and life itself, is a journey of the heart.
Where relevant we freely share classes of meditation, yoga, mindfulness, walking meditations and wisdom gatherings that explore what is alive in our inner camino and invite us to deepen our connection with ourself, each other and life itself.
How to support us?
There are many ways to support
Your funds are an essential contribution to the ongoing viability of our project at ‘Terra de Luz’. Primarily they purchase food and refreshments for pilgrims. Additional funds support us to cover general expenses and fund further projects and other creative and meaningful offerings for pilgrims.
FINANCIAL DONATION
After providing food for pilgrims our greatest need is for the materials to develop and expand what we can offer others. There are a lot of exciting ideas and pipeline visions that continue to create our magical space, inviting deeper connection, sustainable solutions, education and inspirational living.
Currently we’re rebuilding the meditation hall, an eco sustainable washing machine, permaculture resources for pilgrims… and there is list goes on, for which we are seeking support… or if you have another idea we’re all ears!
MATERIAL DONATION
Our time and our energy is the most precious offering we can give! We greatly appreciate and can use ANY skill… from permaculture to online stuff, from building to creative creating!
OR just come here and live with us in community (for 1 day or 1 month) and serve pilgrims, create the space or grow veggies!
